Yesterday I spent time with my conversation partner, Maddie. I invited her to my house to hang out with a few of my friends. Since she had previously met them, I could tell Maddie was happy to see familiar faces, and they were really excited to spend more time with her. We talked about her family in Panama, and she showed us pictures of her adorable niece, Lilac! Maddie told us how much she misses her family, but Facetime allows them to stay in contact. We spent the majority of our time talking about how American phrases or idioms translate in Spanish. I definitely expanded my Spanish vocabulary by the end of our time together. I look forward to meeting up with Maddie sometime this week :)
