Date/Time: March 4, 2016/ 10:50 a.m.-12:30 p.m./CIES /4A
Speaking Class
Topic/Skill: What are you good at? What is your passion to
do? / Student presentation for five minutes
Teacher Presentation: The beginning of the class, students
had been setting up their presentation on the class computer. The teacher was
very approachable and positive which is effective for speaking classes. The teacher also has been teaching this class
very long time. Students have known him very well.
Classroom Management: Twelve classmates have seemed knowing
each other very long time. They were very outspoken each other. Instructor,
Angle Rios was very friendly with them. I liked his approach on the attendance.
He called students, name with asking the question about what they do during the
spring break.
Student participation: Students presented their passions
back to back for five minutes. During the presentations some students asked
questions to presenter about their passion. Presentations topics were baking,
operation room, branding, sport brand; Nike, sports shoes; Sneakers, cafe,
nature, golf, teaching, travel, airplanes, parks in Tallahassee, Iphone.
Feedback provided: Instructor gave feedbacks on the
blackboard. He took notes consistently on the computer during the presentations
without interruption.
Lesson(s) on teaching you learned: For A4 level speaking
class, I will create speaking orientated projects. They will be presentations,
discussion groups, and debates.
